Facebook users with iPads now have reason to rejoice. After what seemed like an eternity of waiting (for us at least!), Facebook has finally released an app that’s been designed specifically for the iPad. For more than a year and a half (the iPad was unveiled more than a year and a half ago too), iPad users had to be satisfied with an iPhone app running on their Apple tablets. But that’s going to change from now on, thanks to the brand new app named Facebook for iPad which is available in the Apple App Store. As mentioned by Leon Dubinsky, a Facebook mobile engineer in a blog post, “It’s finally here,” and “With the iPad app, you get the full Facebook experience right at your fingertips.”

The brand new app has a left-hand menu for users’ games, apps, groups and lists and has messages and notifications at the top of every screen. Users can also chat with their friends right from their iPad, and can play games on Facebook in full-screen mode. Recording videos in HD and streaming to Airplay devices have now become possible too.

So what if it took Facebook too long to roll out the app (there had been speculations since June)? Now, that the app is finally here, we can’t wait to lay our eyes on it! Finally!

We are excited to have the Facebook app on our iPads here at STS.  Looking forward to playing with it and helping our clients figure out how to use web services such as Facebook better in their day-to-day business and personal lives.  Do you need quality Sydney IT support, give us a call today.
