Ever wanted to know where your email client ranks in the popularity meter? If so, you’re in luck!

Here in this article, we’ve presented some interesting statistics about email client popularity as of June 2011. They are not exclusive, though (since some people use more than one email client during the month), so a vote will be registered for each client used.

Coming in at first place is Microsoft Outlook with 27.62% votes. The second place has been occupied by iOS Devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) with 16.01%. Not very far behind iOS devices is Hotmail which was able to earn 12.14% votes. Apple Mail, Yahoo! Mail and Gmail follow with 11.13%, 9.54% and 7.02% respectively. Windows Mail, on the other hand, has come up with a meager 1.84%. Android, AOL and Thunderbird, too, haven’t scored much in the popularity meter.

You’d also like to know the email client whose market share is growing (or shrinking) the fastest, wouldn’t you? It’s iOS Devices at the top again with 84.23% gain in market share. Lotus Notes, on the other hand, has lost 84.73% market share which places it near the lower end of the popularity meter with just 0.20%  votes.
